The 4 star hotel “Corte Altavilla”, an old medieval court situated in a residential area in the historical centre of Conversano, (City of Art), where in the 1100 lived Sibilla d'Altavilla, Roberto Courtehouse's wife, the son of Guglielmo II the Conqueror. Following a complete restructure in the year 2002, a very unusual complex of antique dwellings located within the walls of the medieval Altavilla’s court, has been transformed into a receptive centre with hotel rooms, elegant suites and apartments where wrought iron furnishings in original stone built rooms with barrel ceilings and wooden beams, charm the guests. All rooms are equipped with all modern comforts: direct control air conditioning, satellit TV, direct telephone, safes, internet connection, minibar and cooking facilities hidden in cupboard. They have two bed places and all the modern comforts as direct controlled air conditioning and heating, TV sat, direct telephone, safe, frigo-bar and a cooking box hidden in a cupboard. Top standard ( double/twin beds + 1 bed) Large unit equipped with a characteristic cooking point hidden in a sideboard, frigobar, beds and hand made iron dormouse, stone walls, vaults and wood beams. This typology has one double bed and one more bed in two different spaces. Here you can find all the modern comforts as air conditioning and direct control heating, TV sat, direct telephone and safe. Attics ( double/twin beds + 1 bed) Those are a particular dwellings in two levels with a scroll scale in cost and wrought iron. They have a particular panoramic terrace of the historical centre with suggestive view. They dispose three bed places, sideboards and all the modern comforts as conditioned air and heating, TV sat, direct telephone, sofa, frigo-bar, cooking angle hidden in a piece of furniture in style. Suites ( double beds) The contrast between the white stone walls, and the wood beams, the view on the imposing romanesque cathedral, the welcoming living room are the characteristics of these dwellings in the heart of the historical centre of Conversano.
